The Shamanic Journey
Learn how to journey to the upper world, middle world or lower world to extract and bring back information for your healing sessions. The journey is about receiving information (for self and others) healing, wisdom, and knowledge. Connecting in this way may bring your ancestors, spirit guides, and elders, these beings are carriers of great wisdom and they are willing to share that with you so you can have it in your life.
Explore the Shadow Self
Learn exercises to develop an ongoing relationship with this part of yourself. The shadow is always there so it is better to get to know it and befriend it that to be taken over by it.
Soul Retrieval
This Shamanic practice is very powerful! It is aimed at the reintegration of lost pieces of the soul that might have become disconnected, trapped or lost through trauma. We will journey to the cave of the Lost Souls and find those part of the self that have been disowned or fragmented. Another term for this practice is Soul Hunting.
Power Animal Retrieval
Retrieving a Power Animal is usually one of the first, if not the first we will do. We journey to make contact with an animal energy that we need at this time, one that will support and strengthen us so we can do our Shamanic work. Many times it is the power animal that will guide us and protect us in other journeys. By working with a power animal we can help a person reintegrate their energies and bring them to their center, to their power.
Shamanic Dance and Song
Drum and dance, sing and connect with nature, with your ancestors with your power animal, use movement that awakens your Divine individuality.
Learn how to enter an ASC (altered state of consciousness) that will bring you to Shamanic ecstasy.
Generally, the shaman walks between worlds, with this ability he/she is able to enter the spirit world by inducing Trance, either by using Teacher Plants or not. The methods are many and most of the times used together. We will explore these methods during the retreat.
The Tools of the Shaman
Learn the tools that the Shaman uses for the different types of work that we do. The drum, the rattle, feathers, crystals, plants, rock, ritual, ceremony, nature itself is a tool that shamans from all traditions use.
Sacred Pipe Ceremony
The pipe ceremony is a sacred ritual for connecting physical and spiritual worlds. “The pipe is a link between the earth and the sky.” The pipe is our Prayers in physical form. Smoke becomes our words; it goes out, touches everything, and becomes a part of all there is. The fire in the pipe is the same fire in the sun, which is the source of life.” The smoke rises high into the heavens and delivers our prayers to the Great Spirit.
Despacho Ceremony
The despacho contains symbols of the elements of our universe. Among them, the mountains, clouds, the directions, rainbows, water, food, earth, stars, moon, etc… It also contains symbols of our dreams and desires such as abundance, love, spirit, healing, etc… The items that we put in the despacho represent the beauty that comes from our ancestors to help our loves.
Cacao Ceremony
In the spirit of the ancient traditions, this sacred circle and celebration centers around the sharing of a cacao elixir, known as the “food of the Gods.” Mother Cacao is known for completely opening your heart where you can be center in the essence of love.
