Day 1 – Sunday 2 December 2018 – PARIS – KATHMANDU
Flight Paris – Kathmandu.
Day 2 – Monday 3 December 2018 – KATHMANDU
Landing in Kathmandu in the afternoon.
Transfer to your hotel and free time in the Thamel area.
Nepalese diner and night in your hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 3 – Tuesday 4 December 2018 – KATHMANDU – PARO – THIMPHU
Transfer to Airport and flight and flight Kathmandu-Paro.
Fantastic flight over the Himalayas.
Landing in Paro and transfer to Thimphu.
You will experience the daily life in Bhutan made of traditions and modernity.
Night in Thimphu.
Day 4 – Wednesday 5 December 201i8 – THIMPHU
Ceremony and purification at the Drupthop temple.
Very scenic view of Thimphu from Changbandu where a huge statue of Buddha is located.
The Buddha, seated on a Vajra throne, is a symbol of the infinite and of the Vajrayana tradition.
Night in Thimphu.
Day 5 – Thursday 6 December 2018 – THIMPHU
You will witness the making of a sand mandala by the monks, with grains and colored sands.
You’ll also be able to do your own mandala!!
* The creation of your mandala will happen in a private place and not in the temple. That will give you more space to go through your own process.
Based on the same principles than the mandalas, the chotens are a symbol of one’s path toward enlightenment.
You’ll circumambulate them in the clockwise direction as the tradition advises.
You will make an offering of food that will be distributed to young students as a gesture of care for others.
Night in Punakha.
Day 11 –Wednesday 12 December 2018 – PUNAKHA
Ritual of longevity in the Dzong of Dobji.
You will be invited to hoist the multi-colored prayer flags.
In that way, you ll send prayers and best wishes to all living beings yourself included. A rebirth for a new life.
You will create little statues made of plaster or flour called Tsa-tsa and will use them as offerings.
A Tsa-tsa can be dedicated to an animal or a person. It can also help with health and energy issues. At the end of the ritual, the Tsa-tsa will be offered to the spirit of the river.

Day 12 – Thursday 13 December 2018 – PARO
GRAND « TESCHU », ANNUAL FESTIVAL OF DOCHU LA
In memory of Milarepa, deities, bodhisattvas and heroes of Bhutan
This festival was founded by its Majesty the Queen Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck in order to remember and celebrate the actions of the important heroes of Bhutan. Most of the dances are done by the Royal Academy of arts.
More than a show, the songs and dances are here to bring prosperity, longevity and happiness to the participants and the audience.
Some dances will honor the memory of Milarepa but also of Guru Rinpoche, Longchen Rabjam, Terton Pema Lingpa, Chabdroung Ngawang Namgyel : the 4 great Bodhisattvas of the Himalayas. Dances are a powerful form of meditation and exorcism.

Day 13 – Friday 14 December 2018 – PARO
You’ll discover the famous temple of Taktsang know as the « Tiger nest ». This is one of the most sacred and scenic sites in the whole country.
According to the legend, the great tantric master Padmasambhava arrived here on a tiger’s back to spread Buddhist teachings.
Night in Paro.
Day 14 – Saturday 15 December 2018 – PARO – KATMANDOU
Transfer to Airport and flight Paro – Katmandou.
Oasis choosed to stop-over in Kathmandu to finish your journey in another magical and spiritual city.
Transfer to Bairoling monastery and discovery of Boudhanath. Free lunch.
Ceremony (puja) in Bairoling late afternoon.

HEALTH – TIME ZONE – CLIMATE:
Ø No vaccine or anti-malarial treatment required.
Ø Pre-requisite: state of health adapted to the activities of the trip (at altitude, ex Pelila Pass 3400m, Yotungla Pass 3450m, Dochula Pass 3100m).

December is in the ideal period to travel to Bhutan (dry season).
Temperatures vary according to the altitude. At night, temperatures can be cool (but hotels are heated). And during the day, the temperatures are mild, between ten and fifteen degrees.
