Our Venue

Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Mar de Jade with its graceful contours and Mediterranean style serves as a gathering place for spiritual events. The spacious layout of the property offers a sense of privacy as it blends with the natural surroundings of Chacala, Mexico complete with luscious mango and papaya trees, hammocks beneath palm trees, and the beautiful beach.

Delicious and nutritious meals are served three times a day, usually buffet style, in the breezy open-air dinning pavilion overlooking the ocean. In their daily preparations they use fresh local products: fish, sea-food, chicken, cheese – and abundant fruits and vegetables: lettuce, arugula, beans, figs, hibiscus, papaya, mango, bananas, and pineapples. The majority of vegetables and fruits come from their own Organic Farm. They make their own yogurt, granola, tofu, hummus, breads and baked goods, pastries, desserts, peanut-butter, and marmalade’s.

Mar de Jade’s kitchen staff is happy to accommodate special dietary restrictions such as allergies, vegans or vegetarians, gluten-free, dairy-free, etc. All of their raw foods are carefully disinfected and washed with purified water. Purified water is also provided for drinking. All food served at Mar de Jade is prepared with great care, attention and love.

What's Included

This retreat is a modern day approach to ancient practices that will allow you to enter into deep dimensions of the self and to heal within Trance spaces. We utilize techniques that will move you to understand Altered States of Consciousness (ASC), how to create Sacred space, how to create ritual and put magic to your sessions, how to facilitate and hold the energy for Trance Dance, how to listen and program music for the sessions, and how to use your body as a true expression of the Divine.

Trance Dance is an evolutionary outgrowth of ancient Shamanic practices merged with modern consciousness research. Utilizing the breath and movement as activators, we can explore non~ordinary states of reality, and the psyche’s poetic soul centered language of images and symbols. Combining conscious breathing and evocative music, you will embark upon a journey, during which you may experience a release of blocked emotions, healing of unfinished business, transpersonal connections and new insights. And YES, you will have time to enjoy the beauty of the surroundings, walk, meditate, journal or simply hang out.

• Your round-trip air flight to and from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and your taxi to the center are not-included.
• Bring some cash for: non-included healing/spa services, surfing, non-included side trips, tipping kitchen staff, and for the room-maids (we suggest $1.00 USD per day per person).

How to get to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Please fly into Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (PVR) by 3:00pm on March 3rd – that way we can arrange the sharing of taxi’s to the center and have our opening ceremony by 6:00pm. Figure that it will take 90 minutes to taxi from the airport to the center. Going home on March 10th, leave enough time for that drive plus 2 hours lead time at the airport. Mar de Jade is along Mexico’s Tropical Pacific Coast, about 90 min. north of Puerto Vallarta, 3 hours west of Guadalajara, and 2 hours south of Tepic, Nayarit. It is located on the south end of Chacala Beach, state of Nayarit, Mexico.

One way rates for Taxi Service to/from airport: Sedan for up to 3 people plus luggage: $90.00 USD, Van for 4 to 7 people plus luggage: $140.00 USD. It is pretty inexpensive if you are sharing the costs with a bunch of folks!

We appreciate your concern for safety in Mexico. Although we understand that drug related violence has been extensively reported in the U.S. press, we want you to know that it is mostly confined to the border with the United States and a few cities within the areas of drug production. Chacala, and the Riviera Nayarit, are far from the centers of violence. Chacala is a small fishing town where visitors and residents alike feel safe to walk any time during the day or night. Children and families play in the area without fear. For a comparison you might think of going to Big Sur or Lake Tahoe and wondering if violence in Los Angeles is something about which to be concerned.

Keep in Mind:

The actual schedule of spiritual teachings and what we will be doing day to day is not published so we can be in the moment. Every day will be a magical experience for all of us, so keep your heart and mind open to the experience life brings us. Due to the remote areas we are traveling to, weather, bad roads and other unseen obstacles may cause us to make changes in our itinerary.
