Journey Basics

1. You will travel with like minded individuals that will lend their energy and support for the journey. You will be with old friends and make new ones as well.
2. Satsang, are discussion forums in support of your process. You will have the wisdom of Ernesto to help you deeply understand your path. Satsang is about the assimilation of The Truth.
3. You will have plenty of free time to reflect, meditate and pray. Free time is essential to integrate your experience and as you expand with inner light free time will be invaluable.
4. You will have the wisdom of Mother Ayahuasca that will guide you in a deep inner journey of exploration and discovery. All ceremonies will be guided by expert Shamans and supported by Ernesto.

These four elements will create a solid foundation for you to have a magical journey into the mystery and beauty of life.

During the whole itinerary you will participate in meditations, sacred circles, rituals, moving meditations, toning and chanting and more, all facilitated by Ernesto. One more thing is, be prepared to have a lot of FUN!!

GENERAL ITINERARY

Day 1, June 8th 2012 ~ Lima

We arrive today in the capital of Peru, Lima. From the airport you will go to our hotel and depending on the arrival times we can have our first dinner together. We spend the night in Lima and early in the morning we take our flight to the Peruvian jungle.

Day 2, June 9th ~ Puerto Malonado

Early in the morning we transfer to the airport, today we fly to the city of Puerto Maldonado. Our buses will be waiting to take us to the docks. On the way there we will visit the city and the local market.
After that we go to the port to take the boat and begin the unforgettable journey through the Madre de Dios River, to our final destination the Eco Amazonia Lodge. On the way, you could observe the alligators, turtles, herons and other animals. Arriving to the Amazon Lodge, you will enjoy of the exquisite typical welcome drink and then you will settle in our comfortable bungalows.
Later that afternoon we are going to visit Monkey Island. Monkey island hosts different monkey species: starting from the noisy ones, the Maquisapas, the happy Achuñis, and the very impressive Frailes to the very little and funny “leoncitos” little lions.
On the way to the Island, very beautiful landscapes are shown; the sights are breathtaking, with all the flora and fauna of the jungle, as well as the amazing sunset at the end of the day.

Day 3, June 10th 2012  ~ Eco Amazonia

After our breakfast we will go on a relaxing walk through the jungle, where we can explore the medicinal plants of the area. We will be introduced to the Ayahuasca vine, see how it grows and is prepared.
After lunch we will have an afternoon with the local teacher and Shaman, he will explain the use of the plant, how to drink the tea and explain the way of the Shepibo indigenous people. At around 8:00 PM we will begin our evening ceremonies with Edison Panduro, our Shaman and guide for the Ayahuasca evening experience. This will be a ceremony of purification, physical as well as spiritual cleansing and inner discovery.

Day 4, June 11th 2012 ~ Eco Amazonia

Today is a day of rest and integration with Ernesto. We will have a sacred circle to share, meditate, chant and celebrate.
In the afternoon we will go to La Quebrada, we’ll start our journey with a hike to the deeps of the woods, special paths with britches to cross the gaps, during the journey we will observe animals like, nutrias, caimans, turtles, sachavacas, multicolor feather birds, the majestic jaguar (Andean lion) and fish. Then we will continue and arrive at the majestic and beautiful crystalline waters of the Amazon River, surrounded by giant trees, where we can bathe and swim.

Day 5, June 12th 2012 ~ Cusco

Today we will travel to the amazing city of Cusco. After breakfast we take the boat back to Puerto Maldonado and then take our flight to Cusco.
After our arrival and transfer to our hotel we will have free time to explore the city, go shopping, the market, photograph, or, you can go with Ernesto to some of the cultural gems of the city. Another option is to stay at the hotel and rest.

Day 6, June 13th 2012 ~ Cusco

After breakfast we are going to visit the archeological center of Tipon.
Tipon was part of a royal hacienda belonging to Inca Yahuar Huaca, as well as a place of worship and agricultural research. Outstanding is the sense of harmony in the channeling of water via stone structures including aqueducts (some of which are underground), waterfalls and gullies, indicating the Incas' knowledge of hydraulics.
Here we will have a Sacred Despacho Ceremony, with the help of two local Shamans, usually one man and one woman.
A Despacho describes the Andean practice of making offerings to the mountains (apus), Mother Earth (Pachamama), and other spirits of nature in reciprocity, reverence, and thanksgiving. A despacho is an act of love and a reminder of the connections we share with all beings, elements, spirits, and sacred places. At the deepest level, it is an opportunity to enter into the essential unity of all things, the living energy of the universe. Despacho in Spanish means to send off, so we send off any unwanted energy as well as all the blessings from our hearts.
In the afternoon we return to Cusco and we will have the rest of the day free.

Day 7, June 14th 2012 ~ The Sacred Valley of the Incas

Today we will visit the "waka" or holy place of the Puma in Q'enqo, receive a  solar initiation as the Incas did. Continue to Amaru Machay, Tambomachay, Pukapukara  and to Sacsayhuaman - the monumental pre-Incan stone center outside Cusco. Late in the afternoon we will go to town of Pisac, on the road there we will stop at an endanger animal rescue center, where you will have the opportunity to see, alpacas, llamas, pumas, the Peruvian hairless dog and of course condors.

Day 8, June 15th 2012 ~ Pisac

Today we will walk around the town of Pisac, we will visit the archeological center there, we will go to the town temple dedicated to Father Sun, this is a mystical place, the Intiwatana, a sacred place where the Inca tied up the sun.

Here we will do ceremony and meditation lead by Ernesto.

In the afternoon we will visit the colorful market in Pisac.

Day 9, June 16th 2012 ~ Sacred Valley & Machu Picchu

After breakfast we visit the Initiation center at Chinchero and the magnificent House of Pachamama in Moray; “the Inca crop circle”. The Sacred Valley was the center of Inca spirituality.
Transformational ritual and alignment to the electromagnetic fields of the earth; here you will be able to anchor your own energy and intention for the planetary balance for the upcoming shift.
The question will be what is your contribution at a personal and planetary level for 2012 and beyond?
We will visit the Salt Mine of Maras, (one of my favorite stops) The Waka of the Puma and Serpents in Unu Urqo.

After lunch we will visit Ollantaytambo. Ollantaytambo was the royal estate of Emperor Pachacuti it served as a stronghold for Manco Inca Yupanqui, leader of the Inca resistance. Here we will connect with Llamaqnawi, or the llama constellation in preparation to our visit to the crystal city of Machu Picchu.
Later in the day we will go to the train station to and go to Machu Picchu. Overnight in Machu Picchu, (aguas calientes) ~ breakfast included

 
Day 10, June 17th 2012 ~ Machu Piccu

Early in the morning after a light breakfast we will ascend to the Crystal city of Machu Picchu. We will go directly to the temple of Intiwatana to welcome the sunrise, here we will do ceremony to bring in the sun energy into our hearts and anchor the balanced frequencies of the Pachamama and Father sun.
We will do moving heart meditations and a crystal ceremony in the main plaza. We will visit all the different sacred sites of this mystical city.
You will have enough free time to walk, meditate and contemplate on your own.
If you have the energy you can climb to the temple of Huayna Picchu.
The Incas built a trail up the side of the Huayna Picchu and built temples and terraces on its top. The peak of Huayna Picchu is about 2,720 meters (8,920 ft) above sea level, or about 360 meters (1,180 ft) higher than Machu Picchu.

End of the Main Tour

If you are not participating in the extension you will return to Cusco and then you are free to go back home that same day or the next day.
