| What
does water mean to us?
How much water do you drink everyday? Coffee? No,
we are talking about water in the purest form. Coffee, tea, soft
drinks, and even alcoholic beverages do contain water, but they
also contain chemicals. They don't substitute for water nor clean
your body as much as pure water does.
Adult human body is made up from 60-75% water, while
brain is 80% water. How about blood, which by the way carries nutrients
and oxygen to wherever needed as well as take away whatever is no
longer needed? About 90% water. You see, water carries life energy.
Or you could simply say, water is your lifeline.
So it’s only natural to think both the quality
and the quantity of your water intake have a significant effect
on your mental and physical health.
Did you know that dry mouth is one of the outward
signs of extreme dehydration? When we chronically dehydrate our
bodies, it is going to manifest as aging and sickness. Body needs
a minimum of 64 ounces of water per day, for an average person,
in order to function in optimum level.
When body is dehydrated, it begins to redistribute
amount of water available in circulation or draw it away from other
areas. Allergies, asthma, dyspepsis, colotis, constipation, and
chronic pain in different parts of body, such as migraine headache,
rheumatoid arthritis, angina----those are the thirst signals before
the dry mouth.
Listen to your body and hydrate your body from the
cellular level. As long as you keep them happy, you’ll be
happy too… for a long time!! |
