This program is designed to engage the serious spiritual seeker, the one who knows he/she has a greater mission in life, the one who knows that by deeply healing his/her self will make a difference in the world.

The breakdown of the Intensive is:

Trance Dance - Enter the inner aspects of the self and explore the body, mind spirit connection.
Rites of Passage - Explore the 12 Rites of Passage from birth to beyond the reality of existence.
Soul Retrieval - Journey to find and bring back lost pieces of the soul.
Mask Making - Discover an inner mask, give it life and then dance your expression.
Power Animal Retrieval - Connect with the spirits of the forest and journey for your power animal.
Trekking - Explore the tropical jungle which makes part of Piracanga or visit the local communities which still live in a very traditional way.
Waterfalls - visit waterfalls either with a canoe, cajaque, for fun and connection with nature.
Integrative ~ Holotropic Breathwork - Open with the breath any pocket of material for exploration and transformation.
Wachuma - Sacred Ceremony with a teacher magical plant.
Shamanic Drumming and more much more.....

In this ten day long experiential Intensive we are going to explore the Body, Mind, and Spirit connection using various Psychospiritual integration tools.

At the core of the Intensive are Trance Dance sessions, which enable direct access to the unconscious: "Dreamtime", by working in non~ordinary states. Trance Dance is an evolutionary outgrowth of ancient Shamanic practices merged with modern consciousness research. Utilizing the breath and movement as activators, we can explore non~ordinary states of reality, and the psyche's soul centered language of images and symbols. Combining conscious breathing and evocative music, you will embark upon a journey, during which you may experience a release of blocked emotions, healing of unfinished business, transpersonal connections and new insights.



TRANCE DANCE

Trance Dance is in our blood, in our ancestral connections to all there is. Trance Dance has been the primary vehicle for celebration and ritual for must native cultures from around the world.

The oldest instrument known to man for music, sound and expression is the human body and it is this body that needs to go through the process of self-transformation. We Trance Dance like our ancestors did 40,000 years ago. From this place we enter an altered state of consciousness (ASC) to discover, get inspired and heal. We find lost soul pieces and we bring them home.

We dance in the inner darkness provided by the blindfold or bandanna to enter deep within the self. We use powerful and evocative music that goes from tribal to sublime, we explore our wild, sensual, animal, powerful self as we dance and celebrate.

In Trance Dance we lose the perception of time and space, we enter into the now to fully connect with our experience to connect with others, with body, mind spirit, with nature and self.



Trance Dancing is an ancient spiritual ritual which invites Spirit to embody the participants and to give the visions or to heal them through ecstasy providing spiritual wholeness.

Anyone can trance dance because there are no steps, no external expectations. The Inner Self knows the steps and once awakened, Spirit takes over. It is a journey out of your head and into your hart and body.

SOUL RETRIEVAL

The Shamanic Soul Hunting or Soul Retrieval is an ancient but eternally relevant way to contact the timeless reality that exists parallel to and just out of sight of the world we so mistakenly call the "real world". It is here in the everyday that we experience the reflections of who we are, of our actions, our deepest beliefs, our "dreams"', but it is in the non-manifest world of the spirit that the hidden causal interactions take place. Hidden, that is, until we begin to open the doors and "see" with an expanded vision, with the eyes of a Shaman.

We are going to journey to bring back fragmented and lost pieces of the soul, only by bringing back these pieces we can become whole and child like again. We are going to integrate these pieces with dance, movement, adventure, fun and child like play.

POWER ANIMAL RETRIEVAL

Shamanism is a worldview based on the belief that everything in the universe is connected and interdependent. It therefore involves a deep respect for the natural world and its ecosystem. It is in this

Ecosystem that we will journey to find our Power Animal, we will learn how to identify, bring back and integrate him/her into our life, how to utilize the power and qualities of this animal in our every day life. We are going to dance this animal and become this animal run in the jungle with him and play in a way that we have never played before.

INTEGRATIVE ~ HOLOTROPIC BREATHWORK

Breathwork is an evolutionary outgrowth of ancient Shamanic practices merged with modern consciousness research. Combining conscious breathing and evocative music, you will embark upon a journey, during which you may experience a release of blocked emotions, healing of unfinished business, transpersonal connections and new insights that most Western modalities do not reach.

MASK MAKING

An extraordinary way to have fun and give your experience life, it is a way of expressing our creative self after any of the processes. It's about sharing time with the group and celebrating with others. It's about becoming and dancing your mask. It's something that you will take home to remember your experience and share it with others.



MUD ~ CLAY RITUALS

Do we need to say anything more.... We are going to do ritual and play in the mud with a child-like care free attitude.

WACHUMA SACRED CEREMONY

During this Retreat you will have the opportunity to experience the magical properties of Wachuma or San Pedro (very much like Ayahuasca). Shamans in Peru and Bolivia have used Wachuma for thousands of years for consciousness expansion and healing. The Spirit of Wachuma is the Universal Goddess and she will guide you in a daylong experiential adventure of self-discovery.

Some of the FUN extra curricular activities:

Waterfall Trekking

There are different waterfalls on the peninsula or along the river we are going to visit some. Healing and powerful, the waterfall is like a jungle's baptism. Jumping under the strong jets will massage and renew anyone!

Rafting

One of the most exciting adventures, pure adrenaline, we bring you with the landrover to a place called Taboquinhas passing cacao farms and from there the adventure starts.

Trekking

Explore the tropical jungle which makes part of Piracanga or visit the local communities which still live in a very traditional way.

The beach

Miles and miles and miles of pristine beaches, where you can walk, swim, snorkel and be completely isolated from all people. Where you can retreat all by yourself or play with the group.

Sauna

A native steam sauna for deep relaxation and cleansing. The perfect spot after Trance Dance to loosen up all the tight sore muscles.



Here is a little about the Piracanga Resort...

Human civilization is involved in an expansion of awareness; a Culture is developing where Humanity, Art, Science and Spirituality are meeting and embracing one another. Piracanga would like to contribute to this process by being a Center and Eco Village where people come together to learn, live, research, experience, exchange and celebrate life.

We use solar and wind energy for electricity and hot water supply and all septic tanks are ecological. We are creating a biological garden to produce our own vegetables and fruits following the perma culture system. In the future we would like to create a school for the children of the inhabitants and the local communities. We promise to protect the tropical virgin forest of 70 hectares with trees of more than 1000 years old which borders the back of the village and makes part of the Center. We are constructing a holistic free school with students from the age of 3 till 18 years old.



Accommodations Bungalows, cabanas, chalet's.... All houses have large verandas with hammock and are built with natural materials, we use solar energy for electricity. The spacious restaurant with amazing sea view serves delicious natural food.

Transportation to Brazil

You want to fly into Salvador (airport code SSA) and arrive July 16th and depart late in the afternoon or evening of July 26th.

To go from the airport to Piracanga you need to take a ferryboat approximately 40 minute ride. This is from Salvador to the ferryboat by taxi approximately US $26.00 (60 reais)

The retreat will have a bus or van there to pick you up and take you to Piracanga. The ride takes 4 hours and the cost approximately US $48.00 (110 reais)

I recommend you arrive on the 16th because we start early in the morning of the 17th. The night of the 16th is on your own at approximately $45.00 p/night. If you wish to stay after the night of July 25th the additional nights are on your own at approximately $45.00 p/night. (Double occupancy). All quoted prices are in US dollars.
